Che Project
Reflection
What was your project?
My project was a recipe in Spanish of how to make Cuban Sandwiches. During this project we learned about the Cuban revolutionary Che Guevara and about Cuban culture.
How did it come out?
Both my recipe and my food came out quiet well, the food was tasty and all my conjugations were right on my written recipe.
What did you learn?
I learned how to conjugate verbs in the command form to say phrases like "Heat the oven" or "Cook the ham." I also learned about the Cuban revolution, Che Guevara, and Fidel Castro.

Las Ramblas
In this project students researched a famous Spanish person of their choice, made a digital presentation on that person, and then eventually dressed up as them and gave a speech from that person's point of view at exhibition. The person I chose to do my project on was the painter Salvador Domingo Felipe Jacinto Dali.
Throughout this project I learned how to conjugate verbs in the past tense using the preterit and imperfect. I also learned about the life of Salvador Dali. The exhibition went fairly well for me, I would have preferred it if more people talked to me. I didn't get to present my speech to that many people which was a little disappointing because I worked hard on this project. However, this project was an overall success in my opinion.

La Casa en Mango Street
This project was an oral presentation of a story about our houses and our family. We read a Spanish book called La Casa en Mango Street and then wrote two chapters in the same style as the book about ourselves. It cannot be uploaded to the DP because it was just oral.
Spanish Why Statement
Estudio español porque quiero habla tres lenguas, para viajar, y por mi trabajo en el futuro.
I want to learn another language because I am interested in someday working at an international job where I can help to solve world problems and interact with people from all over the world. I would also like to take a gap year after high school and travel the world and knowing multiple languages would greatly assist me throughout my travels. Knowing Spanish would help me to make new friends and expand my knowledge of the entire world.

Un Dia en la Vida
Project Reflection
In this project we learned about reflexive verbs and we incorporated them into a story about a day in the life of someone or some animal. We learned how to use reflexive verbs in real life situations and created a presentation about how we did it and the story we chose. Above is my presentation about a day in the life of my cat, Romeo.

Cuento de mi Ninez
Project Description
The requirement of this project was to write a story about our childhood in Spanish in the preterit and the imperfect tenses. I chose to write a story about going to the World Cup in Germany when I was 6 years old.
Importance of Past Tense
Being able to speak in the past tense is very important when speaking any language. It is the next step in learning a language, it opens up tons of opportune for improvement and future literacy in the language. It is important to learn the past tense so that we can eventually be fluent in Spanish.
Past Tense In this Project
It helped knowing how to write in the past tense when writing this story because it made the story make more sense. The story happened a long time ago and it makes sense to write it in the past tense.
